On February 8 (2022), a group of local stakeholders from Albuquerque met to participate in the first meeting of an open and participatory working group with the intention of drawing up an agenda with various activities throughout the year, to facilitate a sustainable and respectful use of the castle’s heritage.

On behalf of the Diputación de Badajoz (Partner of the project), Pedro Moraga (European Projects Office) attended and, on behalf of Innogestiona (external support), Patricia Mora, Antonio Román, Roberto Ballesteros participated as moderators and facilitators.

The true protagonists of the event were the 16 local agents representing 12 different associations or groups from Alburquerque: Sambrona Association, Tourist Office, Cala Collective, Irnoma Association, Adepa Association, El casar de Leo, El Álamo, S.C.G. Sierra de San Pedro, Association of Business Shopsand  Entrepreneurs of Alburquerque, TDA Television, Municipal Radio.

As a result of this first meeting and once the keys to the Innocastle project were explained by Patricia Mora (CEO Innogestiona), it was confirmed by all the participating groups their interest in participating in the process of drawing up the participatory agenda through of the successive work meetings that will be convened.
