INCLUSIVE THEATERS is a project granted by EACEA Creative Europe Actions. The project objective is to develop new audience in theaters mainstreaming inclusive practices for visually and hearing impaired persons during theater performances at European Level.

During the Study Visit to Athens partners and stakeholders had the opportunity to attend two live performances with accessibility services, one set in a large open theatre with a large cast of actors, and a second performance in a black box setting with only two actors. The intention was to witness the accessibility services in two different settings and the challenges faced in each case to have the services aesthetically and seamlessly incorporated in the productions.

The second important part of the visit consisted to invite cultural operators, local, regional, and national authorities to participate in a presentation of the W.A.N.T. campaign and solicit their support towards equal and total accessibility in theatres. These including: Access services providers, Cultural operators and Policymakers at local, regional, and national level.

The project consortium includes five partner Countries (Italy, Spain, Portugal, Serbia, UK and Greece), being Audiosigno (www.audiosigno.com) the Spanish partner. During the visit, this organization was represented by Severiano Sevilla (manager) and Raul Ordoñez (technical department), together with Roberto Ballesteros from Innogestiona Ambiental team, as external support for the project management.
