On 6 and 7 October, Innogestiona is taking part in the 5th General Assembly of the European EU4Advice project in Ghent, Belgium, bringing together the consortium partners to review the progress achieved so far and coordinate the activities that will shape the next phase of the project. The meeting is being held at the Faculty of Bioscience Engineering at Ghent University, Coupure Campus.
The first day focuses on reviewing the project’s different work packages, with particular attention to the next steps planned for the coming year, the scheduling of key activities and the strategies required to achieve the established indicators. Progress on the Living Lab roadmaps will also be discussed, with the aim of supporting the integration of advisers into national Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems, AKIS.
Innogestiona plays a prominent role in the General Assembly programme. Together with Ghent University, it takes part in the opening of the meeting and subsequently leads several sessions linked to Work Packages WP7 and WP8. Innogestiona also coordinates two of the main working sessions of the day: one devoted to the definition of practice abstracts and another focused on the development of the National Landing Strategy.
These sessions will help to advance the transfer of the results generated by EU4Advice and the definition of strategies aimed at strengthening the project’s impact across the participating countries.
The second day will have a more practical focus and will include a visit to CSA Bioboerderij De Goedinge, where participants will have the opportunity to learn first-hand about its model, development, feasibility, main challenges and key lessons learnt. The visit will also include experiences related to advisory support for Short Food Supply Chains (SFSCs), their integration into AKIS, and the scaling up of innovative practices in Flanders.
The session will also explore European experiences developed through EU4Advice and the links between Short Food Supply Chains and agricultural advisory systems. The General Assembly will conclude with a session led by Innogestiona to plan the project’s next steps, followed by the overall conclusions of the meeting.
Participation in this General Assembly provides another valuable opportunity to strengthen cooperation among EU4Advice partners, share knowledge and coordinate the next actions aimed at reinforcing the role of advisory services in the development of stronger and better-connected Short Food Supply Chains across Europe.
EU4Advice therefore continues to make progress towards building a European advisory network capable of supporting producers, advisers and other stakeholders involved in Short Food Supply Chains, encouraging the exchange of experience and the integration of these initiatives into European Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems.
