On the 3rd of October, the International and Interdisciplinary Engineering Conference INTER-ENG 2024 was held by the George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology of Târgu Mureș. At this conference, the final meeting of TWIN 4.0 was held virtually, where the project partners reviewed the achievements of the last few months. This project has been an initiative focused on boosting the double transition – ecological and digital – in manufacturing SMEs, supporting their transformation towards a more sustainable and competitive industry.

During the meeting, the results obtained and the training materials developed, which have been specifically designed to help SMEs in this crucial process of adaptation to the new demands of the market and the European Union, were shared.
The speakers at the meeting were:
– Liviu Moldovan from UMFST giving an overview of the project
– Diego Pacheco from Innogestiona Ambiental, explaining the development of the environmental impact auditing tool.
– Admira Boshnyaku from Acta, who showed the contents developed in the training course
– Daniel Grandis from Fenice, who showed the guidelines for VET providers
– Yiannos Gregoriou from FAROS, who showed the developed education platform.

This closure does not mark an end, but the beginning of new opportunities for all small and medium-sized enterprises that want to be more resilient and responsible in the post-pandemic era.
