The Circular Green Economy in the Árrago Valley (EVCÁrrago) project is launching the Ideas Competition for the Agroforestry Test Area, an initiative aimed at promoting sustainable rural entrepreneurship in this area of high natural and social value.
This call is aimed at people interested in developing innovative agroforestry proposals that contribute to resilience against fires, active landscape management and the creation of green employment opportunities.
The EVCÁrrago project’s Agroforestry Test Space offers:
- 8️⃣ plots of land available for the implementation of pilot proposals.
- Agroforestry systems based on crops such as strawberry trees, chestnut trees, olive trees, resin production and pastures.
- An open selection process, which will allow selected individuals or groups to access a temporary contract for the use of the land.
- Personalised technical support throughout the project development phase.
This initiative is an opportunity to experiment with and validate sustainable production models before their final implementation, thus contributing to the promotion of generational renewal, economic diversification and adaptation to climate change in rural areas.
