The COREnet and EU4Advice projects held a networking day on 25 October in Brussels. This event was mainly organised by Innogestiona Ambiental, the coordinating partner of the Eu4Advice project. The event included an interactive programme for stakeholders from the sustainable food sector to share ideas and good practices and discuss topical issues. It brought together the EU CAP network (Building EU-AKIS), EC policy makers and over 25 EU-funded projects working to improve the sustainability of food systems.
COREnet and EU4Advice are the first Horizon Europe projects to jointly establish an advisory network on sustainable short food supply chains (SFSC).
This networking event allowed delegates to share the key results of their projects, support synergies and promote future exploitation opportunities.
To address key factors and gaps in the deployment of the SFSC advisory network, three specific sessions were held.
- In AKIS Round #1, issues on the Integration of Advisors in AKIS were discussed. Discussions were held on the role of advisors in national AKIS, competencies and more.
- INTEROPERABILITY Round #2 focused on Interoperability, the key to sustainability of digital platforms. Ideas on EU digital platforms in the agri-food sector were presented.
- IMPACT Round #3 focused on Impact and Replicability. It discussed how to ensure transferability of results and impact.
This Networking Day was a collaborative effort to share project results, experiences and good practices at the time. It was a fantastic opportunity to promote cooperation and future initiatives. Fruitful discussions were expected on replicability, impact, transferability, policy and guidance for the next steps of the projects.
