Last week, on 17 November, the second meeting of the Mobirural project took place in Bucharest. This coordination meeting was attended by our colleagues Diego Pacheco (Industrial Electronics and Automation Engineer) and Jorge Vivas (graduate in Mechanical Engineering and Master in Industrial Engineering).
The 5 entities members of the project consortium (Fondazione Fenice ONLUS, ITS-Romania, IKEM, Diputación de Badajoz and Innogestiona Ambiental) met to review the work done so far and schedule the next activities before the next meeting in Berlin.
We remind you that the objectives of this project are:
I. Promote efficient and sustainable rural mobility and the adoption of new mobility strategies and technologies in rural areas,
II. Capitalise and promote the use of digital tools and new technologies for mobility in rural areas,
II. Develop a framework to lay the foundations for a European curriculum for rural mobility agents,
IV. Creation of a cooperative network for the promotion of rural mobility policies and initiatives.
To date, the results obtained have been positive. The needs and problems of rural mobility in the different countries (Italy, Romania, Germany and Spain) have been identified and the courses have been focused on finding concrete solutions to the detected problems and soon we will start with the development of our training platform for local development agents and other stakeholders.
